Mission and vision

To promote integrity and eradicate corruption in all its forms to ensure proper governance and effective national development process.

General description of the CSO work in the anti-corruption area

Public education and awareness raising; research and surveys; monitoring, coalition and institutional capacity building; fiscal sponsorship and grant-making.

Public officials, local citizens (women youth and children’s groups), local/traditional authorities, religious leaders, the media.

Outreach, capacity building trainings, radio and TV discussions, interactive sessions, workshops, focus group discussions, Dialogue Forum, interviews etc.

Specific description of the CSO work in relation to the UNCAC

TI-SL is part of the UNCAC National Steering Committee. We monitor the implementation of the UNCAC nationally. We have established a CSO Working Group on the UNCAC. conducted public education programmes for citizens, capacity building trainings for CSO’s , the private sector, the public sector, the media, traditional and religious authorities on the UNCAC and its Review Mechanism process.

Specific description of the CSO work in relation to the review mechanism of the UNCAC

TI-SL intends to train CSO’s and key stakeholders in the UNCAC Review Mechanism process, conduct general public awareness that the country is undergoing the second cycle of the UNCAC review process.

Plans are underway to hold Interactive sessions with the Anti-Corruption Commission to ensure an open and participatory self-assessment process towards the second UNCAC Review.

TI-SL played a key role in the first review process, organized public sensitization programmes, capacity building training, participated in the validation exercise of the self assessment report towards the first cycle of the UNCAC Review Mechanism Process.
