We wish our new board members the utmost success in their roles and hope that they serve as a source of inspiration and guidance to propel the Coalition’s work into the future.
In a context of unprecedented global challenges linked to corruption and a lack of transparency and accountability—from environmental degradation to reductions in civic space, state capture to the proliferation of transnational organized crime —the work of the UNCAC Coalition and its global network of more than 400 civil society organizations has never been more relevant.
We are convinced that our new board members will be able to guide us in this context to better advocate for a world in which transparency and accountability thrive.
The full composition of the new Coalition Coordination Committee and detailed profiles of all members can be found here.
The UNCAC Coalition also wishes to thank our outgoing board members for their service:
Samantha Feinstein of the Government Accountability Project GAP (USA), who served as Vice-Chair,
Rachel Hanna of Access Info Europe,
Sankhitha Gunaratne representing Transparency International Sri Lanka,
Chanez Mensous of Sherpa (France),
Umar Yakubu of the Center for Fiscal Transparency & Integrity Watch (Nigeria).
We thank these individuals for their experience, insights and guidance; and the significant contributions they have made to the UNCAC Coalition’s work. Their contributions are greatly valued and will be missed, however we remain secure in the knowledge that these exemplary individuals will continue to advocate for a world free from corruption from other spaces.
The UNCAC Coalition expresses its gratitude to all those who submitted candidacies for these elections and all those who participated in voting. With more than 45% of our members casting ballots, we are proud to have upheld our democratic values and principles.
The new Coalition Coordination Committee takes office immediately and information regarding their work is available here.
