Organisation Experience

GFI has been very active with the Coalition, especially since they were elected to the Coordinating Committee. They regularly share information on their work with the Coalition email listserv, and participate in most Coordinating Committee phone calls, outputs, and meetings. They’ve been particularly active for the Coalition and the Coordinating Committee on the issue of beneficial ownership and helping draw the attention of States Parties to this important facet of prevention and asset recovery.

Global Financial Integrity (GFI) is a non-profit, Washington, DC-based research and advisory organisation that produces high-caliber analyses of illicit financial flows, advises developing country governments on effective policy solutions, and promotes pragmatic transparency measures in the international financial system as a means to global development and security.

Representative Profile

Christine Clough is a Program Manager at Global Financial Integrity (GFI). She manages GFI’s research and event contracts, contributes to reports, and supports advocacy work on financial transparency, especially related to development and security challenges. Prior to joining GFI, Christine was employed most recently at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy, working with Congress, federal agencies, and the White House to advocate for the needs and critical role of small business in the U.S. economy. Christine also has experience working on terrorism and homeland security at think-tanks in Washington, DC. Christine has a BA in International Relations and Economics from Connecticut College and an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
