Organization’s profile
Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency (Transparency International-Jordan) is a non-for profit civil society organization established in 2013. We signed cooperation agreements with the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship, and the Civic Security Department. “Rasheed” gained its accreditation from Transparency International in 2018. We worked on legislative reviews in a variety of sectors, aligning the current laws and legislations to the UNCAC and bilateral agreements, aligning the current laws and legislations with the UNCAC and bilateral agreements, and suggesting relevant recommendations and amendments accordingly.
We have many programs with youth, including Integrity Schools and Academies, moot courts, and digital accountability tools. “Rasheed” drafted good governance guide for CSOs, audit manual for non-for-profit, local integrity index for municipalities, national integrity system for 13 pillars, gender budgeting guide, a variety of policy papers, integrity roadmap, Jordan Transparency Compass, among many other documents. “Rasheed” invented many monitoring tools and issues analysis and recommendations on a variety of indexes. We are also an implementing partner of the National integrity Index in cooperation with the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. Rasheed is active with the OGP in drafting and implementing plans.

Organization’s experience
- Rasheed Transparency International Jordan is keen on not only monitoring, but also on helping all governmental entities in the implementation of the UNCAC articles. We worked on analysing the articles of the UNCAC and other relevant commitments and agreements that Jordan had signed. According to the analysis, thematic areas were determined and for each thematic area, key performance indicators were drafted by “Rasheed”, and approved by the government. Relevant governmental entities were determined for each KPI. For each KPI, “Rasheed” invited participants from a variety of governmental organizations to participate in the implementation, each according to their field. The implementation started on 4 thematic areas as a pilot.
- We worked on legislative reviews in a variety of sectors, the investment sector and the companies’ sectors, aligning the current laws and legislations with the UNCAC and bilateral agreements, and suggesting relevant recommendations and amendments.
- “Rasheed” also participated in UNCAC implementation evaluation for Jordan.
- Trained youth on analysing UNCAC articles.
- Invented the Integrity Roadmap methodology.
- Invented the Transparency Compass methodology.
- Invented Integrity schools.
Top 3 Priorities to Achieve as a CCC Member
1. Active national UNCAC implementation committees including relevant CSOs, with published minutes of meetings of their regular meetings, including evidence-based engagement in drafting plans and key performance indicators for the implementation of thematic areas according to the UNCAC articles.
2. Joint efforts for securing funding for CSOs working on the implementation of the relevant KPIs.
3. Concrete recommendations on protecting civic space and aiming for international consensus.
Candidate’s profile
I’m the Executive Director of Rasheed Transparency International- Jordan since 2017. I have extensive experience in creating partnerships between civil society organizations, donors, and the government. I excel in analysing Indexes and suggesting relevant recommendations, i.e. CPI. I’m passionate about creating innovative tools for the effective implementation of Anti-Corruption initiatives.
I have 28 years of experience in Jordan Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen, in international donor organizations, civil society organizations and in the government in human rights, good governance in private, public, CSO and humanitarian sectors, humanitarian aid, and many others. I’m a founding member of the Land Governance Coalition, and a member of its executive committee. I was elected as the General Coordinator to lead the Human Rights Coalition of Civil Society Organizations “Himam”. I’m a strategic thinker, instrumental in shaping national, regional and international strategies. I obtained multiple awards of appreciation.
Some achievements are:
- Lead Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency in obtaining Transparency International’s full Accreditation.
- Invented a variety of innovative tools to minimize efforts and resources, and maximize anti- corruption impact.
- Lead negations with Government of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and signed sustainable development support agreements with the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
- Scaled- up the funding of “Rasheed” 6 times.
I have a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from Germany. I’m fluent in English, Arabic, and German, and I have basic knowledge in French.
Contributions to the work of the Coalition
Due to my leadership of the Human Rights Coalition in Jordan, and my experience in founding the land Governance Coalition, I can enhance the collaboration within the coalition, and suggest comprehensive solutions for the enhancement of the work of the coalition. I’m passionate about creating innovative tools to maximize the impact of the efforts with the use of minimal resources. I excel in negotiating partnerships and convincing donors of the importance of the work, and in drafting strategic thinking approaches. Due to my experience with the Transparency International chapters in the region, I’m aware of the regional challenges that CSOs face, hence, I can suggest effective solutions and advocacy approaches. I’m confident that I’ll bring about a supportive environment for exchange of ideas within the coalition.
