Mission and vision
The Bulgarian Judges Association is the oldest and largest professional judges’ organization in the country, and aims to stimulate the consolidation of the professional and social authority of the Bulgarian courts as well as carrying out activities to strengthen the rule of law in the Republic of Bulgaria.
General description of the CSO work in the anti-corruption area
Projects and activities carried out by the Bulgarian Judges Association are aimed at the proper functioning of the judiciary, strengthening the independence of the judge as a guarantee for well-functioning justice in fighting corruption.
Specific description of the CSO work in relation to the UNCAC
- monitoring of the implementation of the Convention,
- preparation of legal opinions on legislative initiatives of the state bodies measures to fight corruption

The Bulgarian Judges Association is one of the public organizations in Bulgaria which annually participate in providing expertise on the implementation of Bulgaria’s commitments to the European Union on reforming the judiciary and its suitability for combating corruption nationally and on an international level.
