Mission and vision

Sinar Project is an initiative using open technology and applications to systematically make important information public and more accessible to the Malaysian people.

General description of the CSO work in governance and anti-corruption area

Sinar Project focuses on innovative methods of using open data for transparency and anti-corruption, especially in constrained environments or corruption cases where information and data is limited. We build open data standards databases for tracking information on PEPs, and also contract data to expose beneficial ownership systematically.

Sinar Project also makes government information useful for transparency and anti-corruption by making searchable archives on government reports, documents and parliamentary records.

Collaborate with our local Malaysian coalition partners (GIAT) for transparency and anti-corruption such as TI-Malaysia and C4 in providing feedback and supporting inputs into UNCAC review and other policy work.
