Mission and vision
Our vision is to see Indonesia free of corruption, promoting democracy and social justice, encouraging and strengthening the social fight against corruption.
General description of the CSO work in governance and anti-corruption area
Giving space and organizing capacity to citizens to fight corruption with the aim of building strongly-organized citizens to engage the public. By doing so, civil society manages to secure the interests of citizens and hold governments accountable.
We teach CSOs how to:
- Intensify advocacy, lobbying and campaigns for government openness;
- Strengthen the active involvement of social movements into citizens’ deliberative forums.
Specific description of the CSO work in connection with the UNCAC
Transparency International Indonesia urges the Indonesian government to immediately adopt the UNCAC (UN convention against corruption) convention and the OECD convention in Corruption Act, especially related to foreign bribery. TII also consistently supports The National Strategy on Prevention and Eradication for Corruption.
