Skyscraper (Georgia) – Winner

Davit Shekirladze was born in 1995, studied as an animation director at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University. He is currently working on animated projects in the film industry.

Skyscraper was the winner of the short film contest organized by TI Georgia in 2020. A jury composed of film experts and an anti-corruption specialist selected Skyscraper as the winner of the contest for the simple, wordless and universally understandable depiction of how corruption functions and what devastating consequences it may have. The contest asked participants to create short films on the subject of corruption with the purpose of using the resulting films to raise awareness about this issue in Georgia. While Skyscraper was the first winner among three, 12 short films were selected overall and widely circulated on the internet and social media.
