Children and Young People Living for Peace (CYPLP) is an organic, 100% locally-led, youth-serving NGO in Nigeria dedicated to peace-tech, climate resilience, digital justice, and sustainable development. We empower children and young people to localize the SDGs and build sustainable peace through innovation and advocacy. CYPLP is a legally registered Not-for-Profit with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria (Registration No: 7037430).

We are individuals, everyday people from different walks of life coming together collectively to express, promote, pursue, and defend common interest in Nigeria and across Africa. We co-design creative and innovative homegrown solutions to local problems in our communities, preventing drug use among young people, combating transnational organized crimes and supporting criminal justice systems.

Mission and vision

To mentor and raise young social change champions at local communities in Nigeria and across Africa, sparking the spirit of volunteerism that will drive Africa’s self sufficiency and sustainability.

To create veritable platforms of engagement of young people, by young people and for young people, through small local actions that can spark big changes in our communities in Nigeria and across Africa.

Specific description of the CSO work in relation to the UNCAC and the review mechanism of the UNCAC

Recognising the important role CSOs play in advocating for a transparent and inclusive review mechanism and advocating for Nigeria’s commitment to  the UNCAC, as well as developing a new strategic plan to be involved in the fight against corruption for the good of Nigerian children.

Our key activities over the years have been advocating for accountability and tracking government transparency for inclusive development.
