Vision: A self-reliant, healthy and resilient society that respects human rights and democratic values
Mission: YONECO is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that is committed to:
- empowering the youth, women and children;
- promoting good health, human rights and democracy;
- adapting and mitigating effects of climate change;
- and conducting research for evidence-based programming and advocacy.
General description of the CSO work in the anti-corruption area
- Empowering citizens to demand their rights to development by:
- Holding elected officials and duty-bearers accountable
- Enhancing transparency and accountability at all levels
- Enhancing the capacities of the community members to demand essential public services from duty-bearers
- The aim of this is to especially ensure that the rural population has access to equal and fair delivery of public services to reduce poverty

- Promoting human rights and good governance
- Free and fair elections
- Advocacy on law enforcement against corrupt individuals

YONECO has the following programmes that are related to review mechanism of the UNCAC:
- Networking and collaboration at national level on Transparency and Accountability
- Media advocacy through investigation of suspected cases of corruption that impact majority of youth, women and children in the country
- Participating in review process of national strategies against corruption
Programmes at Community level:
- Capacity-building of community structures including area development committees, youth advocates, and others
- Awareness campaign through theatre and radio programmes
