Transparency Pledge

The Pledge is a voluntary commitment to meet minimum standards of transparency and civil society participation in the UNCAC Implementation Review Mechanism.

We call on States Parties to sign our Transparency Pledge for the second UNCAC review cycle.

To date, 46 States Parties have signed the Transparency Pledge, reaffirming the importance of transparency and public consultation in addressing corruption. Their commitment signals a strong belief that civil society can play a crucial role in preventing and combatting corruption in their country, contributing to the successful implementation of UNCAC provisions.

We congratulate the 46 countries that have signed the Transparency Pledge so far. To ensure this commitment is implemented in practice, we regularly track compliance with the Transparency Pledge’s principles, as shown in the map below.

A discussion on the outcomes of the country report is planned for 2025.
Support for CSO inclusion in subsidiary bodies
The United States successfully advocated for the reshaping of the NGO briefings at the IRG, including expanding the briefing to at least a half day. We continue working with the UNCAC Coalition to learn about your priorities and desires for the briefing.
