Mission
Open Ownership (OO) improves accountability and strengthens financial systems,
enabling governments to collect money more effectively, spend it better, and prevent
it from being stolen or misused. We do this by increasing the transparency and use of
information about who really owns companies, trusts, and other legal structures. We
work directly with governments to implement reforms, spearhead advances in policy and
technology to deliver them effectively, and help others use ownership data in ways that
lead to real-world results.
