Vienna, October 16, 2026 – The Global Civil Society Coalition for the UNCAC is pleased to announce new leadership of the Coalition Coordination Committee (CCC), its board, following recent elections.

  • Beauty Emefa Narteh and David Banisar were elected Co-Chairs of the Coalition. Beauty Emefa Narteh is Executive Secretary of the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition and holds a seat on the board representing organizations from Sub-Saharan Africa. David Banisar is an international human rights lawyer and holds the honorary member seat on the board.
  • Rachel Davies was re-elected Vice Chair. She is Advocacy Director at Transparency International UK and holds a seat on the board representing European organizations.
  • Hilda Ajeilat was elected Secretary. She is Executive Director of the Jordan Transparency Center and holds the seat on the board representing organizations from the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) region.

“No organization can tackle corruption alone. Real progress comes when we pool our expertise and work closely together, and the Coalition brings our community together to do just that. I am honored to serve as Co-Chair and to help amplify the work and values of the Coalition,” said Beauty Emefa Narteh.

“Civil society’s ability to hold governments to their UNCAC commitments depends on people being able to access information, speak freely, and report wrongdoing without fear. As Co-Chair, I will focus on advancing access to information and asset disclosure, and on defending civic space and the protection of journalists and whistleblowers. I also look forward to supporting the Coalition’s governance, the rollout of our new strategy, and the work of the Coalition’s Hub,” said David Banisar.

Rachel Davies said: “With shrinking civic space and a complex geopolitical environment, these are challenging times for civil society groups working to fight corruption. It’s a privilege to partner with members to protect hard-won gains, and to support the Coalition Hub Staff as they lead our global network. I’ve enjoyed serving as Acting Chair and I’m excited to support Beauty and David as they take on the role.”

“Good governance starts at home. As Secretary, I will focus on ensuring effective information sharing with the board and promoting compliance, so that the Coalition continues to practice the transparency and accountability it advocates for,” said Hilda Ajeilat.
