Mission
Tojil is a non profit organization created by two young women as a response to the corruption and impunity crisis that the Mexican criminal justice system has been facing. Considering that the problems that create impunity are multifactorial we identified three main factors to focus on: the high levels of corruption in the system, the due process violations and the lack of gender perspective in the criminal proceedings. The organization tackles these factors through strategic litigation, investigation and information campaigns.
