Mission
The ISS is a leading African organisation that enhances human security to enable sustainable development and economic prosperity in Africa. Established in 1991, it is now the continent’s preeminent organisation on human security. It employs around 100 staff in its four offices in East Africa, Francophone West Africa, southern Africa, and Addis Ababa where the African Union is based.
