Based in Uppsala, Sweden
Janithrika has over seven years of experience working on transparency, anti-corruption, and governance.
Before joining the Coalition, Janithrika worked at the Transparency International Chapter in Sri Lanka in several capacities, including leading the Advocacy and Research Unit. She has also worked with Diakonia in Sweden, conducting research, and with the Khulumani Support Group in South Africa on the issue of non-delivery of reparations to Apartheid victims and survivors. She has also moderated the Victims of Corruption working group for the Asia-Pacific region under the Coalition. She is currently involved with Verité Research in Sri Lanka as a Research Analyst on Governance and Anti-Corruption, and as a Research Assistant at the Department of Government at Uppsala University. She also brings over seven years of experience in volunteering, donor engagement, and program management within community development initiatives.
Janithrika holds a Master of Social Science degree in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden as a Rotary Peace Fellow.
