Mission
The National Anti-Corruption Network (REN-LAC) is a Burkinabè civil society organization established in 1997. To date, it brings together eighteen (18) member organizations, including trade unions, human rights organizations, religious groups, women’s rights promotion organizations, as well as youth and road transport associations.
REN-LAC’s vision is the emergence of a Burkinabè society fully committed to the defense and promotion of integrity and good governance. Its mission is to work towards ensuring morality and transparency in public administration. The Network’s overall objective is to “contribute to the eradication of corruption in Burkina Faso.”
REN-LAC currently has five (5) regional anti-corruption committees (CRAC). Its main activities focus on knowledge production, notably through the regular publication of reports on the state of corruption, civic awareness and education to raise public consciousness, advocacy with administrative and political authorities, public accountability actions, as well as monitoring complaints/whistleblowing and judicial actions. In 2018, REN-LAC was granted the status of a recognized public interest association (ARUP).
