Organization’s profile
Transparency International UK is the UK chapter of Transparency International – a global movement sharing one vision: a world in which government, politics, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free of corruption.
For more than 30 years Transparency International UK has worked to expose and prevent corruption so that no one in the UK and where the UK has influence has to suffer its consequences.
We work with the UK and devolved governments, parliamentarians, civil society and business to tackle corruption at home, addressing the UK’s global corruption footprint and helping multinational companies prevent corruption by operating with integrity.
We are also home to two major global programmes tackling corruption in the Defence and Security and Global Health sectors on behalf of the wider Transparency International movement.
Organization’s experience
TI-UK has been a member of the UNCAC Coalition for many years, sending staff members to work with the Coalition at various COSPs and relevant meetings in Vienna, and participating in coalition working groups.
TI-UK is a member of the UK Anti-Corruption Coalition (UKACC) and hosts the secretariat staff within our organisation. UKACC liaises with the UK Government on COSP engagement, often putting forward members to join the UK delegation.
Top 3 priorities to achieve as a CCC Member
- Help the Coalition navigate a changing, and often challenging, international landscape
- Act as an effective interlocutor between the regional membership and the UNCAC Coalition board and leadership.
- I’m known for bringing a positive, can-do energy to initiatives, even in challenging situations, and I would hope to do the same here.
