Mission and vision

CDDI contributes to the development and democratization of the Albanian institutions and society in general, and to the promotion of the process of the European Integration of Albania. CDDI’s highly trained staff ensure that all the service contracts are always carried out in a reliable, professional and cost-effective way.

In accordance with its Statute, the Board of Directors and the Executive Director manage the Centre for Development and Democratization of Institutions. In addition, an Advisory Board aids in the development of long-term strategies and activities of CDDI.

CDDI is part of the “Coalition against Corruption” (Albania), as well as the UNCAC Coalition and a member of the FOI Advocates Network (international).

General description of the CSO work in the anti-corruption area

The focus of our activities deals with the Freedom of Information and the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI). Our efforts include: training CSOs, public administration, and youth; conducting research; providing technical assistance; and aiding in drafting laws and regulations.
